Mr. Haleem is the most senior person in the Firm having an experience of 30 years in the legal field. Being the supreme court lawyer he has extensive experience in handling intellectual property and corporate matters in Pakistan. He primarily practices in the areas of criminal law, corporate compliances, banking and constitutional law. He is a legal advisor to several national and international companies and has advised clients in diverse sectors on foreign direct investment, mergers & accusations, collaboration, external commercial borrowings, foreign exchange guidelines, securities law, corporate restructuring and compliance issues. He also has wide experience in drafting & vetting of commercial contracts.
He has been regularly advising several major clients on Intellectual Property law matters. He advises clients on franchise contracts, issues relating to patents, design and company secrets as well as intellectual property compliances under international laws.
Mrs. Ali is an active practitioner in both corporate and criminal legal sectors. She has vast exposure in dealing with international clients and has represented a number of popular international brands with respect to the management of their global trademark and copyright portfolios. She also has expertise in trade mark prosecution and enforcement, as well as, undertaking anti-counterfeiting campaigns, infringement litigation, injunctions and civil suits for damages and has contributed by creating materials about awareness of Pakistan IP laws in light of the WTO TRIPs mandates.
She has ample experience in providing legal advice to local and international clients on a range of issues including but not limited to domain name disputes, cease and desist legal notices, talent-retention agreements, piracy laws, media laws, contract law, industry-specific agreements, advertising laws, general litigation, family laws, passing-off disputes, all contentious and non-contentious matters in relation to intellectual property in particular strategizing IP enforcement plans and performing intellectual property audits.
Iqbal is a young and talented legal practitioner. He assists the partners in handling Contentious & Non-Contentious matters related to Trade Marks, Copyright and Domain Disputes. He is experienced in handling Civil and Criminal litigation in lower courts and handles disputes before consumer courts, federal and provincial Ombudsman (Mohtasib).
Saima has vast experience of handling accounts of multinational companies. Before joining TriStar Law she was a finance manager at a leading bank of Pakistan and has also advises clients and borrowers on a range of investment grade and leveraged acquisition finance, with a particular focus on lending transactions in the emerging markets.
